Bak 2 Skool…
Kabren | September 4, 2007Well folks, tomorrow I start school again. Senior year. Last year of High School. That year when I apply to college. That year when I do my Capstone Project (Senior Project). That year. Oh boy.
I’m excited for school this year. I have signed up for some great classes, like Dimensions of Time, an arts, history and science class examining, you guessed it, time. (I’ve uploaded my schedule for viewing here. There are some mistakes, but I’ll keep you posted)
Some of you may be asking, “What kind of high school offers classes like Dimensions of Time?” Well, it’s a very progressive school (as you can see from the schedule). We call our teachers by their first names, and instead of semesters or quarters, we have modules. 7 mods a year, so we only take 2 or 3 academic classes at a time. Instead of basing everything off text books and tests, the school really tries to relate with students. The website is www.csw.org, if you’re interested to learn more about it, or email me, I’d love to talk more about it with you.
I don’t really think I need to do anything for school, except finish up summer reading, and continue to work on college applications. I think I’m going to try to clean my room and do all of that “fun” stuff.
Oh, and the website switch is finished! This site is proudly hosted by Media Temple Grid-Service. I’ve had an excellent experience so far, for more, listen to the next episode of Nerd News Radio!

Colin | September 4, 2007Your school sounds so awesome, I wish I went to a less up-tight school. My school does some really stupid things that hurt itself and its students, which kind of sucks.

That’s not a bad thing though, sounds like a school I would love
We definitely didn't have anything like that when I went
Ann Bernard | September 4, 2007We definitely didn’t have anything like that when I went to school. You’re lucky!! How many others are in your class? Is it a private school? (Guess I should just click on the link!) Did you have to apply to get in?
If i went to your school, i might have actually
William | September 4, 2007If i went to your school, i might have actually LIKED school. My school had nothing like Dimensions of Time. We did have kids who hung out in the parking lot between classes smoking cigs though
Colin and Ryan, I know, that's why I really wanted
Kabren | September 4, 2007Colin and Ryan, I know, that’s why I really wanted to go there, my old school was, well, terrible.
Ann, in the senior class I believe there are 90 or so? Which makes for under 400 in the whole school. Yeah, pretty small. It is private, but it was worth applying. They gladly accepted a portfolio of photos!
William, it’s high school, we have those too…
Wow. I can't remember my senior year at all
ob81 | September 5, 2007Wow. I can’t remember my senior year at all it seems. It was over-shadowed by my job. Sigh. Good luck with the college hunt!
Wow, that's a pretty interesting high school ! I wished
