About

My name is Kabren Levinson. I am a student at Bard College in upstate New York. Philosophically, I am preoccupied with truth, identity, technology, design, type, “play,” and difference. I am particlarly enlightened by Socrates, Nietzsche, Derrida, and Csikszentmihalyi. I have worked in technological, political, artistic, and academic settings, including an internship with the MIT Media Lab Computing Culture group and a position as a Research Assistant for Chris Csikszentmihalyi. I am a philosopher, technologist, and artist.
I write, speak, take photos, play music, and have ideas. I have spoken at education and technology conferences across the country, including SXSW Interactive 2009 in Austin, PodCamps in Boston, and the 2009 Hawaii International Conference on Education in Honolulu. I have been podcasting for over three years and have been blogging on-and-off for over a year. I have played cello for 12 years and the bass guitar for 8. Prior to college, I spent 7 years studying music at the New England Conservatory of Music. I started taking photos in high school. To get in touch, email me.
